I'm a Nigerian traditional dancer and a Bàtá dance choreographer

Passionate about preserving african culture through dance

A graduate of Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin, Damilare approaches dance as more than performance. To him, movement is a language through which culture is preserved, stories are told, emotions are expressed, and people connect beyond words. Beyond the stage, Damilare is committed to making dance more accessible. His work with Deaf dancers challenges conventional ideas about rhythm and musicality, demonstrating how movement, visual cues can create a meaningful artistic experience beyond sound.
